Three-Day Québec by Bus

Day One Thursday or Friday
  Depart school on a deluxe, climate-controlled and restroom-equipped motorcoach.
4:00 pm Arrive at the Quality Suites Hotel and meet your guide in the lobby.
5:00 pm After checking in, transfer to Old Québec where your tour guide will lead you on a walking orientation tour of the Terrace Dufferin and Place d'Armes.
5:45 pm Meet your guide in the lobby of the Château Frontenac, and walk to dinner at the Restaurant D'Orsay.
7:15 pm

After dinner you will to transfer to the National Battlefields Commission's Maison de la Découverte for an interactive lesson about the history of Québec, from the French Regime through the end of the Second World War.

Your day will end with a fascinating lesson about warfare in the time of Generals Wolfe and Montcalm.

9:30 pm Meet the bus at Place Georges V and return to the hotel. Security guard services begin at 10:00 pm.
Day Two: Friday or Saturday
8:00 am Meet your guide in the lobby, then depart for a French breakfast in the Quartier Latin.
9:15 am Walk to the Château Frontenac where you'll assemble for a group photograph on the Promenade des Gouverneurs.
9:45 am Meet the bus and depart on a city sightseeing tour that will feature many points of cultural and historic interest.
11:30 am The tour will end at les Galeries de la Capitale where you'll be free for lunch on your own. After lunch on your own in the international food court, you can take a ride on the roller coaster, or practice your French in a few of les Galeries' 250 boutiques and retail stores.
1:00 pm After lunch, you will return to the Old City where youíll participate in VISIT CANADA's Chasse au Trésor. (If the weather is inclement, your group will visit the Musée de la Civilisation in place of the Treasure Hunt.)
3:30 pm

Return to the hotel to dress casually for your evening at the sugar shack.

5:00 pm

Depart for a ride through the rolling hills and quaint villages of rural Québec to an authentic French-Canadian cabane à sucre.

After an all-you-can-eat dinner of typical Québécois fare, you'll learn some traditional dances and folk songs, and your evening will end with a sugar-on-snow party, with real maple syrup and real snow (stored in the winter and served every day of the year).

Transfer back to the hotel. Evening security services begin at 10:30 pm.

Day Three: Saturday or Sunday
7:45 am Continental breakfast in the hotel, then pack your bags and place them on the bus.
9:00 am Transfer to the rue du Trésor for a three-dimensional, multi-media presentation at Québec Experience.
10:00 am

Walk to the Quartier Petit Champlain, where you'll be free for lunch on your own in one of the many European-style cafés.

After lunch, you'll have about an hour to take photographs and shop for souvenirs in the heart of Vieux Québec, where the cobblestones and greystone buildings date to the 1600s.

12:30 pm Meet at the Rubik's Cube near Place Royale then walk to the Québec Ferry Terminal.
12:45 pm Board the 1:00 pm ferry to the city of Lévis.
1:15 pm Meet your bus and begin your journey back to the United States.
