Dear Educator:
When I was in high school, my two best friends went to Europe. This was something my family could not possibly afford, and I stayed behind, absolutely heartbroken. It affected me for a long time.
Many years later, as a planner of educational trips for school children, I am a true believer in cost control, because I want our trips to be affordable and available to all motivated students, and I still remember how it felt to be left behind.
I hasten to add, however, that my company is not interested in packaging the lowest priced trips in the marketplace. As much as we want our trips to be affordable, we feel strongly that selling cheap trips to kids (especially deceptively cheap trips) is a great disservice.
Thus at VISIT CANADA, we are continually balancing the need to keep our trips within the reach of every deserving student with the need to maintain consistently high standards of quality.
Given a choice, we will err on the side of quality, because our abiding goal, day-in and day-out, year after year, is to provide the best educational tour programs available anywhere.
This is how we want to be remembered.
