VISIT CANADA is pleased to announce an extension of its domestic trips for students of foreign languages in 2012, this time, a three-day trip by chartered motorcoach, for students and teachers of German from the Northeast United States.
VISIT CANADA has been working in the summer of 2011 with the historic Austrian-inspired Trapp Family Lodge in picturesque Stowe, Vermont, on a program that will feature a Trapp Family history tour (in German or English) by a member of the Trapp family still living at the lodge, German-style continental breakfasts and German dinners, and showings of a documentary film about Maria von Trapp, and the story of the Trapp family’s escape from Austria, an evening showing of The Sound of Music, as well as other activities in the Stowe and Burlington area.
The setting for the trip is a deluxe, Alpine resort located in the middle of 2,500 acres, half way up Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, and overlooking an expansive valley and the Green Mountains in the distance.
