A Letter From the President

Dear Parent, Teacher, or School Administrator:

VISIT CANADA planned its first school trip in the spring of 1985, and now, looking back, it's amusing in a way to think of what we didn't know then, that we have learned in the interim, about taking school groups to Canada.

Having focused exclusively on school and class trips to Montréal, Québec City, Toronto and Ottawa for 20 years, we have progressed dramatically in our thinking about the needs of our group leaders, the needs and interests of students, the management of kids on overnight field trips, and most of all, about the four Canadian destinations as they relate to all of the foregoing.

We have spent 20 years evaluating activities and attractions, inspecting and re-inspecting hotels, tweaking menus, weeding out guides who don't relate well to kids, and watching more than 60,000 students react to a thousand refinements of our tour itineraries. We now know things about these trips that the amateurs in this business haven't even wondered about.

Today, if there are better itineraries anywhere in the marketplace, that make better use of the short time your children and students will be in Canada (or anywhere else for that matter), we have never seen one. In all modesty, we sincerely believe that our tour programs are light-years ahead of the pack, and second to none.
