Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.
This lavishly decorated, 500-room, five-star property, the newer of Vancouver’s
two harbourfront hotels is located at Canada Place, the epicenter of the
city. Its restaurants, swimming pool, health club and many guestrooms
overlook the harbour, with wonderful views (through floor to ceiling windows)
of the cruise ships loading and unloading, and the seaplanes coming and
going. The Fairmont Waterfront is our staff’s first choice of Vancouver
Hotels for vacation and business travelers.

Pan Pacific.
The city’s other five-star, 500-room, waterfront hotel, the Pan
Pacific, is built on a pier that’s contiguous with Vancouver’s
cruise ship terminal and convention center. Most of the hotel’s
deluxe rooms overlook the mountains and/or the inlet where guests can
watch as a succession of cruise ships, often three a day, glide up to
their berths beside the hotel. You may want to get on one and sail away.

Westin Bayshore.
(pictured above left)
Don’t let the somewhat dated exterior fool you, the interior spaces
at the Westin have been beautifully renovated, with most guestrooms overlooking
the quaint marina, and the glide path of a procession of landing seaplanes
that float by the hotel from dawn to dusk. You’ll quickly feel like
you’re part of the Vancouver lifestyle. Unique in the world.
